Vehicle/Equipment Detailer and Fleet Assistant
The Vehicle/Equipment Detailer & Fleet Assistant supports our Officers and Special Constables by ensuring all police vehicles are cleaned to a high standard. They provide assistance to the Facility/Fleet Supervisor as needed, including delivering and picking up vehicles from outside repair facilities, setup and preparation of meeting rooms for meetings or special events, and assisting with the Annual Police Auction.
Shift Schedule
Part-time Vehicle/Equipment Detailer and Fleet Assistants work schedules that are very flexible and can be adapted easily to accommodate as needed.
Responsibilities
- Clean and wash both the inside and outside of fleet vehicles
- Check to ensure that the vehicles emergency equipment is functioning and advising supervisor of any deficiencies
- Check the tire pressure and oil levels of vehicles
- Maintain vehicle records in respect to vehicle condition, equipment and supplies
- Deliver and pickup vehicles to outside repair facilities
- Setup and prepare meeting rooms for scheduled meetings or special events
- Assist with setup and takedown of displays at special events
- Deliver photocopier paper and replenish copiers within the building
- Assist property stores with moving articles as needed (i.e. bike auction, large articles)
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Valid “G” driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Must be medically fit and be able to pass a medical examination
Salary and Benefits
The hourly wage for Vehicle/Equipment Detailers and Fleet Assistants is $16.55.
