Why Kingston
Kingston offers a smaller community quality of life with the amenities of a major centre. Kingston is located along the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River. The city is an easy drive to Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal and is a short trip to the US border, crossing into New York State.
Kingston’s historical past is reflected in the buildings and homes in the city, as well as Fort Henry, the Rideau Canal and the sites associated with Kingston’s role as the first capital of Canada from 1841 to 1844.
The City of Kingston encompasses rural and city living and is home to vibrant entertainment and fun community events, a variety of shopping and fine dinning options, world-class education institutions for your children, a wealth of rewarding career opportunities for your significant other, high quality healthcare facilities, beautiful parks and trails, and the best freshwater sailing harbour in North America.
